The basic material is paper mache, but the construction is sheer artistry and environmentally friendly too.

The designer owes much to a native Thai artist’s fascination with the beauty of Japanese characters as graphic art. He turned his passion into a business by organizing the collection of Japanese-language magazines from some 35,000 Japanese living in Thailand. A trained staff then sorts, cuts, and reassembles the magazine pages to create functional pieces of art.
